Aggregates
Higgins Aggregates runs several aggregate plants and their associated quarrying operations in the lower North Island - all managed within environmentally sustainable guidelines. Each has one or more state-of-the-art crushing plants and between them supply more than two million tonnes of aggregate per year.
In excess of 25 different grades of aggregate are produced, including sub-base and basecourse materials such as the widely used Transit M4, along with all grades of roading chip, concrete aggregates and specialty landscaping products. Higgins’ owned IANZ accredited Laboratory tests for size, shape, density, strength, durability, chemical content, water absorption and shrinkage and PSV (Polished Stone Value) to qualify aggregate characteristics and quality, as well as validating to the various NZTA specifications.
IPENZ Professional Development Certificate awarded to Higgins
