The supply of high quality, ready-mixed concrete has become increasingly important for the building, construction and civil engineering industries in New Zealand, from residential homes to the often technically advanced structural requirements of high-rise buildings and infrastructure.
Higgins Concrete has been at the forefront of this evolution, establishing its first ready mix plant in 1976 in Palmerston North, now joined by plants in Feilding, Porirua, Wellington, Masterton and Nelson plus a mobile plant for on site production.
Each plant is independently audited by the Plant Audit Committee of the NZ Ready Mixed Concrete Association for compliance with NZS 3104. Skilled operators check each batch and concrete is randomly sampled and tested at Higgins IANZ accredited Laboratories.
IPENZ Professional Development Certificate awarded to Higgins
