Laboratory and Testing
The Higgins Materials Testing Laboratories perform a vital service to the Group, assisting in the development of new products and testing materials to ensure they meet specification and performance parameters.
Located in Auckland, Napier and Palmerston North the laboratories are IANZ accredited and offer independent and confidential testing services to outside customers, as well as the Higgins Group. All are equipped to test a range of materials and products, including soil types, aggregates, asphalt/bitumen and concrete within the laboratory and in the field.
They also assist the Product Development team in the design and development of new products, helping Higgins deliver high performance paving solutions, from new asphalt formulas and bituminous materials to surfaces, pavement designs and portland cement concrete mixes.
