Manukau Harbour Crossing Alliance team wins Excellence Award

Manukau Harbour Crossing (MHX) was awarded the "Z Energy Excellence Award for a Major Road Project" at the August 2011 Roading New Zealand award ceremony. Higgins Contractors are a member of the MHX alliance.

The Major Roads category is for projects over 25 million dollars.  The award is in recognition for outstanding delivery of a project demonstrating leadership, excellence and best practice.

Competition Head Judge Dr Robin Dunlop said the standard of entries continues to impress each year.  "As the industry evolves and the economic climate changes it is reassuring to see those involved in roading remain committed to achieving excellence and to embracing innovative ideas and demonstrating real leadership"
