Our Way
As we grow and develop, Higgins continues to embrace smart practices and high standards of conduct - because its 'Our Way'.
Founded in 1958 by Dan Higgins, Higgins has consistently embraced strong, family-based values with an emphasis on building strong teamwork. Our values not only shape the way our teams interact, but they also shape our relationships with our customers and the community at large. These values are the backbone of our business and we are absolutely committed to their continuity across our business operations.
Dan Higgins was a man full of innovative ideas long before he founded our company - always developing new and ingenious ways of doing things on the farms or in the workshops where he was employed. We'd like to think there is a little of Dan in everyone at Higgins and the opportunity to be innovative is as alive today as it was all those years ago.
Over the years Higgins has always invested in the development of efficient processes and productive practices so that we are able to maximise operational efficiency and deliver better results.
Our people are empowered to manage their own areas and by giving them the autonomy and trust to make decisions promptly, work flows better and results are improved.
Sometimes it's the simplest things that make the difference to our customers, so that is why Higgins encourages a focus on attention to detail and going the extra mile for our customers.
