Higgins laboratories are IANZ accredited and equipped to test a comprehensive range of materials and products.

Higgins materials testing laboratories assist in the development of new products and the testing of materials to ensure they meet specification and performance parameters. All are IANZ accredited and equipped to test a range of materials and products, including soil types and aggregates to asphalt / bitumen. These are tested within the laboratory and in the field. Laboratories are located in Auckland, Napier, and Palmerston North.

Higgins has long recognised the need for a credible testing regime and established the first test laboratory in Palmerston North more than 30 years ago.

Our laboratories also assist our product development team in the design and development of new products and helps to deliver high performance paving solutions, from new asphalt formulas to bituminous materials, surfaces and pavement designs.
