KEEPING PEOPLE SAFE

Is our most serious commitment. We believe all injuries are preventable. At Higgins our safety success is achieved through the integrity of our company safety systems and the strength of our safety culture.

When people join Higgins or partner with our business, we train to ensure all staff attain the high standards we set and understand our uncompromising approach to safety.

A. Strong safety culture

Higgins safety culture is underpinned by the Higgins core value - Protect.

Individuals are encouraged and supported to take personal responsibility for their own safety and that of their team. Individuals are supported by staff appointed Safety Champions.
If work is unsafe, our people are supported to stop work and fix it or report it.

  • These rules are mandatory minimum requirements to prevent serious injuries or death.
  • Managers and Supervisors must ensure that their planning and instructions will not breach any of these rules.
  • Any breaches will be treated seriously.
